Jules Jacot-Guillarmod (24.12.1868-05.06.1925)
Médecin, alpiniste chevronné et explorateur.
1912: dirige l'hôpital psychiatrique situé au Château de Prilly.
1915-1920: déménagement à Vennes.
1920: rachète le Château de Prilly.
Alpiniste, très actif au sein du Club alpin suisse, il préside la section des Diablerets de 1915 à 1917.
1902: Participe à une expédition dans l'Himalaya en 1902.
Il observe les maux liés au mal de la montagne. Rapporte près d'un millier de photographies stéréoscopiques de ces régions très peu connues à l'époque.
1905: il repart pour l'Himalaya (Kangchenjunga).
